SBI PO Exam Pattern and Syllabus is out. The official notification and syllabus of the State Bank of India are now available for the recruitment of Probationary Officers. The online application has started and you can apply for it now. The preliminary exam starts on December 31, 2020.

SBI PO Notification 

SBI calls for the recruitment of Probationary Officers. The selection is through two online examinations and an interview. Thus, it is time to apply for the 2136 vacancies. The number of vacancies is less compared to previous years. So, you can go through the article and get a clear idea of the SBI PO exam pattern and syllabus. SBI PO – Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification:

  • Graduation from a recognized university is the required educational qualification.
  • Final year candidates are also eligible to apply.
  • But, they have to pass the qualifying examination before December 31, 2020.
  • The candidates with the qualification of Charted Accountant can also apply.
  • The candidates with an Integrated Dual Degree (IDD) have to make sure that they have obtained the certificate before December 31, 2020.

Age Limit:

The age is calculated as of April 01, 2020. You should be born between April 02, 1990, and April 01, 1999.

Minimum Age 21 years
Maximum Age 30 years

Relaxation in the upper age limit:

SBI PO – Mode of Selection

The selection is done through two online examinations and an interview. The selection is through 3 phases.

  • In phase I, you will have an Online Preliminary Examination.
  • After that, you will have an Online Main Examination.
  • Phase III consists of the Interview. This may consist of group exercises also.

SBI PO Exam Pattern-

Preliminary Examination

  • This examination involves Objective type multiple choice questions
  • The total marks are 100.
  • The exam duration is 1 hour.
  • The test will have 3 sections.
  • There will be separate timing for each test.
  • There is also a penalty for the wrong answers. 1/4 th of the marks will be deducted from the obtained marks for each wrong answer.

Main Examination

  • The main examination consists of an Objective Test and a Descriptive Test.
  • The total marks for the Objective test are 200 marks and that for the Descriptive test is 50 marks.
  • The descriptive test will be conducted immediately after the Objective test. You have to type the answers on the computer.
Objective Test:
  • There will be separate timing for each test.
  • There is also a penalty for the wrong answers. 1/4 th of the marks will be deducted from the obtained marks for each wrong answer.

Descriptive Test:
